Spring/Summer at Dorothy Perkins
14th February 2018
As we head towards the end of February, we have high hopes for more sun and brighter days. With better weather, comes a range of new styles in Garden Square’s fashion stores.
Dorothy Perkins in the shopping centre is well prepared for Spring/Summer 2018, with an array of show-stopping clothing and accessories for the new season.
For SS18, Dorothy Perkins is embracing the romantic prairie mood. Feminine florals remain, but with an updated vintage edge for a fresh new mood.
The Embroidery trend continues across dresses, denim and this season’s hero piece – the trench coat. Sheer overlays showcase intricate designs on maxi dresses, paired with a crop khaki jacket or washed denim to complete the look.
The dress is key for SS18. Pastel Broderie Anglaise sundresses sit alongside floral slips and the ultimate prairie dress. The tiered skirt transitions into summer with delicate florals, worn with the sweatshirt for a relaxed feel.

Manipulated fabrics are also key for the season, working across shirt dresses and separates. Voluminous sleeves and high necklines are exaggerated and paired with relaxed denim and pyjama style trousers.
Embellished sweats and stripe detail tees create a sports luxe feel when worn with wide legged trousers and trainers. Paper bag waists and pastel checks update this season’s tailoring. The floral suit is back too, worn with shorts and a ruffled neck blouse for a ladylike look.
Accessories are in muted pastel shades. Bags are simple and structured with cut-out patterns and chain details. The quilted cross-body is back for Spring/Summer, updated with floral embroidery.
In footwear, the western boot is key, hinting towards the prairie trend for the season. Barely-there heels in pink, blue and gold are styled with floral separates and statement dresses for an easy, feminine style. Bright white sliders update any outfit for effortless cool.
